The Christian Church is called to spread the Good News of the Gospel to those within its reach and sometimes to those beyond. The Public Relations Committee communicates to the parish and to our community those opportunities and activities which promote the spread and understanding of the Gospel as we know it in Christ Jesus. The PR Commission also encourages us to be evangelists who share by word of mouth the opportunities for spiritual transformation and growth offered by St. Mark’s. It also uses the following tools to accomplish its mission:
¨ radio
¨ newspapers
¨ This Week at St Marks (Weekly E-Mail)
The Prayer Team
The Prayer Team prays as a group and individually for needs that are brought to their attention. Early each week the team is provided with a list of known needs. New needs and needs of an urgent nature should be forwarded to the chairperson or a team member. These prayer requests will be sent to each team member. Needs of an urgent nature are distributed by phone as soon as possible.

Prayer for World Peace (from 1978)
Lord, we pray for the power to be gentle, the strength to be forgiving, the patience to be understanding, and the endurance to accept the consequences of holding to what we believe to be right. May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil and the power of love to overcome hatred. We pray for the vision to see and the faith to believe in a world freed from violence, where fear shall no longer lead people to commit injustice, nor selfishness make them bring suffering to others. Amen.
Coffee Hour is a time of fellowship follows the Sunday service. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other church members and newcomers, as well as catching-up on how everyone week has gone.
The Altar Guild is a body of deeply committed persons dedicated to serving our Lord by preparing the sanctuary, the altar, the priest's vestments, hangings, vessels and elements for service and worship. They are always ready and prepared to serve.
They always welcome those who after careful thought and prayer feel called to this service ministry. They assist the priest so that the worship services proceed smoothly and assure all the necessary items are in place for worship.
Eucharistic Minister (formerly chalice bearer or lay eucharistic minister) administers the chalice at our
regularly scheduled worship services and special services, funerals, and weddings as needed.
our Eucharist Visitors bring Holy Communion to the sick and homebound.
